The CEO's Message to our Community: COVID-19 & Lionbridge: March 17, 2020

Dear Lionbridge Partner,


Lionbridge is closely monitoring the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Since first learning of the situation in China several weeks ago, our first and primary concern has been for our people. Our broad global community is a core part of the Lionbridge family, and it’s no surprise that many Lionbridge employees and customers have inquired as to the well-being of our linguists, testers, interpreters, raters, transcribers etc. As of this morning, I can continue to report that all of our team members and their families remain healthy and we are unaware of any cases in our larger community.

To keep our teams safe and our business running smoothly, in January we enacted our business continuity plan, restricted travel and prepared for more and more of our global team to work remotely. Fortunately, given the nature of our operating model, we are continuing to operate at full capacity as we have been able to move work from heavily impacted areas to those that are less affected.

While there is still much to be learned about COVID-19, we have encouraged everyone to be pragmatic, practice social distancing, and stay informed.  I’m sure many of you have already been on these sites but we have links to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control for those who need them.

We are continuing to plan and adapt as COVID-19 spreads and evolves by the day and I welcome you to contact community.management@lionbridge.com if you have any questions or concerns. We’ll continue to be transparent and provide information as we have it over the coming days and weeks.
